It's probably going to stretch the same way either OS you get. It's because of the fact that you replaced your monitor. I suggest if you don't want to stretch your screen either shrink your monitor through the manual knob settings or go back to your old CRT or just get a smaller monitor. If you go back to XP with your new monitor you're gonna end up with the same problems. I wouldn't go through the trouble if I were you.
