and yes, nexon and BP make mistakes. which is more detrimental in the long run, an oil spill which has killed many forms of life and destroyed an entire regions ways of living and ruined their livelihoods; or a gaming company producing a bad MMO and maintaining it poorly until it is pulled and put offline?

That's comparing their actions, not the company. The thread title's wording stresses the company.

And that's without getting into the details and arguments about who exactly was responsible for the spill.
