wow, though. Who could Ridley be talking about? He seems to be recounting a tale that ends in tragedy... as emotional as he was when referring to the Headless Horseman. We know it can't be the Alchemist, because Ridley says they never met. It also isn't LeFay, as it's male. This person, whomever he is, is someone that hasn't been introduced yet. I also am reminded of the tale of Shammos from the 4th job quest for mages. The only thing that really would preclude it being Shammos is the fact that his story was under the guidance of grendel.

the other possibilty... Could it be the Black Magician? That's certainly a force to be mournful over releasing.
