the shield must provide > 17% increase to overall range to overcome the deficit from a smaller multiplier with everything else equal. not too hard to obtain with say... 3 6% str boosts or w att scrolling, but itll be hyper specific. someone on a budget will prolly be better off with 2h, especially if fast5 2h swords are available. for the uber rich, youre right.
