If I had to describe the revamp of the monsters as tersely as I could, I would say that the farther you get from Victoria, the higher monster's levels get. So, I have high hops that old spots that were good during early levels will now be good spots, i.e., scorpions and roids for 8x and 12x people.
Zombies have a great spawn and now they're something like Lv. 163!
