Like is there a point to it when the ATT doesn't even stack with the sh'it ton of ATT buffs we already have.

Buccaneers only have 2 attack sources. Energy charge and transform.

Obviously, since ST's attack bonus is larger than anything else (40 attack is better than both energy charge and almost literally every other attack pot in the game (in KMS)), and it lasts 95% of the time, ST is worth it.
