This video would prove otherwise on your Shadow Partner theory it appears their SP is exactly the same as a DBs only the animation and icon is the same as a NLs.
I think DBs will still have a higher DPM rate since they generally were already 20 mil DPM higher and DBs didn't really get nerfed that much.
Regardless though, classes should be played for fun it shouldn't matter if DBs out damage Shadowers.
The video you just linked just proved my point. Shadowers have the exact same Shadow Partner as a hermit. If you watch, the Shadow Partner hits are doing 40% of what the shadower is doing. Hence, it's exactly how a hermit's works.
