Maybe you accidentally npc'd it and thought you were putting it in storage..

I know someone that did that with an 11 attack glove once.. I npc'd a few stacks of ores that way when I was half asleep too..

I was npc'ing amoria earrings and accidentally npc'd m 9/16 cecelias =(
