and, actually, i'd say the same about other classes. stat scrolls were in the game for a reason, people used them and statless characters were born. it would be a kick in the ass saying "oh yeah, maple used to be that way, but it's different now. so screw you and learn from nostradamus, you should have guessed this would happen"

Incorrect. Stat scrolls are in the game to improve your stats, not so you can go statless. And MapleStory was never meant and has never supposed to be a statless game, the players made it that way.

But, guess what? The players don't decide how things should be, the creators do. The fact that all class armors and weapons (Except for Bowmen equips and Warrior's armor and weapons) need two stats to equip is an obvious enough reason that the creators wanted you to add your AP into those two stats. And now they're fixing that problem by making it where you actually need two stats to hit monsters.

Going LUKless: Faster, stronger, better.
Going LUK: Slower, weaker, worse.

Training with ultimates: Faster, stronger, better.
Training with other skills: Slower, weaker, worse.

Do you enjoy making extremely foolish comparisons or something? Skills =/= stats. The game gave you skills, and told you exactly how they worked. If they suddenly change them to do different they have to give you a skill reset.

However, stats ever since the start of MapleStory have only worked one way and one way only. Just because statless people decided to change that doesn't mean the way they work change. So therefore they do not have to provide AP resets for abusers.
