You're putting way too much thought into this.
I made a LUKless Bishop because I informed myself about game formulas, economy, items, and whatnot. And it was just better, cheaper, stronger, and prettier to make a LUKless mage, I felt no pressure about it, I just knew it would be better working in the game the way it works. It's like knowing a warrior needs STR to be strong, k? You pineappleing raise STR. No big pomegranate, that's just how it is. Now they suddendly tell you LOL GUESS WHAT YOU'LL SUCK IF YOU HAVE TOO MUCH STR.
wat.
That's a slap in the face. A slap that will make a lot of old players mad.
I think they could still manage to pull a money-making scheme and keep old players if they made the prices of AP/SP resets much less ridiculous. In other games you don't have to pay more than 5 dollars to reset your WHOLE status or skills. In Maple Story that's almost the price to reset ONE point. That's just stupid. They can either give free resets, or start selling low priced universal resets.
