This game is, honestly, all about the dps. Sure, you can survive the boss - but that isn't the problem with any existing bosses - they're a huge grind to kill, you speed it up by boosting your DPS.
If they make bosses that actually require the full extent of a Paladin's damage amelioration abilities (new skill balance will let Paladins tank up to about [SIZE="7"]110,000 damage per physical hit, 35,000 per magic[/SIZE], plus Guardian's 40% chance of blocking damage completely) then all the other classes would just complain because they can't go to those bosses.
It needs a more fundamental redesign of how monsters deal damage before individual ability to take damage affects the party.
