I don't pirate games unless I absolutely know I can buy them later (as I did with Clannad and Umineko, which I own now). I couldn't guarantee that with this game, so I didn't. Besides, I started looking before I even knew what torrents really were, and I wasn't going to use that to cheapen my search.
Also, I really really like physically owning things. I mean, I buy a lot of things off Steam, but if it came down to, say, buying a PSP game off PSN or buying a physical copy, I'd rather have the physical copy (unless the PSN copy was on sale).
