People talking about Pap's skin are missing the point.
He's a plant-based ghostly blob. I would say the word "skin" is not an accurate way to describe him at all.
That's not to say that I don't believe his alternate dimension could actually be Versal (a retcon if I ever saw one), I'm just saying you guys are barking up the wrong tree here. In fact, I'm hoping Nexon takes the story in that direction myself, but Pap's "skin" is not a hint at all. I doubt if his plant-based-ness could even be tied to Krakia either.
EDIT: About Pap's plantlife having trouble with photosynthesis: His form is ghostly. I doubt if he would need to perform photosynthesis at all.
