There are individuals that uses FaceBook just to play those games like Mafia Wars, etc etc etc. Then there are those that uses it to keep in contact with others. Personally, I'm estimating that near 75% of the people I have on my "Contacts" are anywhere ranging from 14-21. The rest of the others are people that are older than me, relatives, or just acquaintances that I know that are majoring in the same major as I am. I know a couple people that owns local tea shops, cafes, etc that majored in IT, but they work on their cafe or tea shop during their spare time. Just for fun.
It's fun meeting people like that, and I see them here and there every once in a while around town. Of course, people that I don't talk to irl or whatever, I delete off of my FB since I don't need them to exist on my contacts list just so I can show people "Ken has xxx number of friends", because that's just a false number. I consider it as "People I want to be able to contact in the future" list, more so than a friends list. I think people just use their FB to contact others they've met some time in their life, I hope I'm right.. I added professors too, especially ones that I know really well (one of them, taught me in at least 4-5 of my classes within 2 years).
