DDS isn't exactly the easiest thing to get your hands on, and there are a LOT more maple staffs. Besides, the potential system could easily make luckless elemental staff battle mage (try saying that 5 times fast) possible, in which case that would be the best option for damage.
Reverse staff sucks.
