I'm a Weapon Master who uses only a bludgeon and is a PvE build. I know lightsabres are the cookie-cutter weapon for us, but those seem much weaker and don't have the bounce effect that the bludgeons give (Which doesn't help much any dungeon that has non-launching enemies [Like Shadow Lab for example]).
With the upcoming SP reset, I have a month to decide whether to keep using a bludgeon or switch to a lightsabre - and frankly I can't decide which. I want to know which weapon is best for PvE.
Few things to consider:
Ariel Chain Slash is useless to me right now because at level 5 bludgeon mastery, it's disabled and replaced with the ability to launch the foe downward upon hitting them in the air. (However, it is a prerequisite for my awakening, which to me is a must-have)
Draw Sword gets an extra hit with a lightsabre, whereas the bludgeon gets only a single hit.
Bludgeons get a smash at the end of Charge Crash. (on-the-fence about this one, the smash takes about 3/4th of a second of super armor to charge, leaving me open for attacks)
Draw Sword and RDS have a chance at electrocution with a lightsabre.
Faster attack speed (and two hits per SST) with lightsabre but weaker, or average attack speed but stronger with a bludgeon.
Only bludgeons bounce the enemy on Backstep Cutter.
