Off-Island players have various classes; a wider range of equipment; and most importantly Skills. It's possible for a level 10 character to get to level 20 off-Island quicker than a player who uses 2x EXP cards if they have somewhat 'godly' equipment. Maple Island has no Attack-increasing Scrolls; no Speed-increasing Scrolls; and a very limited supply of equipment. In a sense, Islanders are equal.
2x EXP just like Maple Trade ruins this equality. It changes rankings and in a way makes life unfair on others. Why spend 2 years or so grinding to level 50 without NX when you can spend just 1 year doing it? The same can be said for MTS - why spend 2 years grinding to level 50 without MTS when you can dramatically cut your training time down by using MTS?
MTS and 2x EXP make things more like what off-Island MapleStory is. Most Islanders play their Islanders to be different to off-Island players, and thus when someone comes along with their godly MTS equipment and 2x EXP cards, it in a way creates an unbalance.
