In the end, unless you're trying to be the #1 strongest player in the game, the stats of your weapon don't matter. If you want to finish off your Black Beauty with 50%s, by all means, go ahead. Even with the item ranking system, I don't think many people are going to be able to beat +8 50% scrolls on a weapon that was very nice to begin with. All that matters is that you have a set of gear that'll let you train efficiently enough to get where you want to be or kill bosses as efficiently as you want to. My bet is that the item ranking system won't take full effect (as in being the #1 way of making the best items in the game) until long after you'll have to worry about it anyway.
Oh I fully understand, and it's not my aim to become the strongest. I'm not competing with anyone. I'm just a stat-whore and I love having the highest range I can for my own satisfaction. In fact this isn't even about getting the best possible weapon, this is about cost efficiency. White scrolls are expensive, and I want to know before I dump billions into this project that the KMS potential scrolls won't be able to get similar results for much cheaper.
