Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies and Pokemon [RPG]
#74
Brox's eyes snapped open. A slight bit of haze surrounded the outer edges of his vision. Everything appeared to be a bit blurry. He looked around at his location, attempting to see what was going on. Beneath him he felt a soft mattress and sheets. He attempted to lift his head, but he couldn't seem to find the strength. As his eyes began to flutter closed again, he saw a familiar face, one that had helped start his pokemon journey. He smiled as much as he could before returning to his sleep.

As the shadows of dreams surrounded him, Brox dreamed of the days of when he started his pokemon journey. He saw the buildings and the gyms, the battles and the friendships. The dream gradually began turning into a nightmare, showing him the events that had just recently started happening. The zombies, the blood, the horror. All of it became mingled with his dreams. Brox's eyelids twitched in the waking world, signally how he wished he could wake up and be out of that horrible world with zombies in it.

Hours later, Brox opened his eyes again. This time he was able to focus more. The light was shining down from the overhead lamps, causing the face of the man looking over top of him to be unrecognizable. Yet he knew who it was instantly. "Professor Oak," Brox spoke softly, still apparently rather weak. Stubborn as always, he attempted to sit up and get out of bed. Professor Oak pushed him back.

"Don't try that," he warned. "I know you want to get up and go, but you're not ready yet. You still need a little more rest." Brox eased back a bit. He looked around a bit. He noticed that there was a machine attached to him, giving him some kind of fluid. Professor Oak called to one of his assistants, "He's okay! Go let everyone know, so they can stop worrying. I'm going to go grab him something to eat." Professor Oak walked off into another room.

Brox smiled. Oak was just as kind as always. "I have something I need to let you know Professor," Brox tried to say, his voice still weak. He had to be informed of what had happened to his grandson. Brox then realized that his pokeballs weren't on his belt. He looked around frantically, eventually stopping on a table with his hat and pokeballs on it. All of a sudden Brox's eyes grew wide. There were only 3 pokeballs on the table.

(Sorry, last month of school is making me kinda busy. I'm having some trouble getting time for stuff. I'll still do this whenever I get a chance though.)
