I'm sitting here trying to figure out what broke digimon. After season 1 and 2, seasons 3+ felt like a different series that just took the digimon franchise. Maybe tsundere Rika wasn't meant to be in English. Maybe Guilmon's baby personality never developed into anything. Maybe Takato, despite wearing goggles, never grew into a real leader. Maybe card games should've stayed in YuGiOh. Maybe DNA digivolving should've stayed unique between digimon and digimon and not digimon and human.
But whatever it is, they need to mix the genres of drama, saving the world and "friendship and teamwork is best thing ever" concept back that was really lacking in the later seasons.
