He's just expressing his hate for "anime." Surrealism and whatnot were just excuses for him to go off. In all of his descriptions, he is merely trying to belittle it. It's narrow-minded to restrict surrealism to the original movement and the renowned pieces. When I think of the word 'surreal', I think dreamlike and unreal, which I saw in most of Spidey's images. It doesn't matter if it is 'anime' or a classic.

As for the original topic, I don't have my own images but I think Spidey's first image is really fitting. Lost and confused: barefoot girl, solitary stairs to nowhere. Truth: everything is in shadows, the girl is faceless. Logic: mysterious creatures, eerie shapes.
