And with that, Skarmory took off into the deep blue sky of the night.

Rae'is awoke slowly, almost not wanting to wake up and face what the world may become. She had a nightmare; Infected, wild, crazy pokemon and humans attacking from every direction, every angle.. no chance of escape.. her own pokemon against her... but it was just a dream. Her hair flicked around her, along with her scarf, in a mild wind. She pushed herself up into a sitting position and looked around her. It was late morning and they seemed to be flying near a town surrounded by forest. "Skarmory, good morning. Have you been flying this whole time?" She asked. He nodded his head, and she frowned. "Well, let's land. You must be tired, I''m sorry." He adjusted his wings slightly, and they were gliding gracefully to the ground. There was a heavy thump as Skarmory landed. She took out his poke ball and returned him to it for a well deserved rest. Her cough seemed to have went away, and she felt fine. The city however, which she now gathered was Mahogany Town, was desolate. She walked around for a few minutes and still saw no one around, not even one of those crazy infected pokemon. The storm from the night before was gone and the sky was clear, which made for a nice spring-like day. Why, then, was the town empty? She headed to the Ice Gym to find out...
