Knowing that it occurred and keeping a detailed listing of the thread, the person and the link are completely unrelated concepts.
I know for example that an estimated 2,000 laptops are stolen every year. Does this mean I can readily give you names and addresses of victims? No. Does that level of specification matter in the slightest to the point that was being made? Also no.
Anytime you want to regain a perceived right you're now being told you don't have you have to justify it. This has been true for every proposed rule. Trolling accusations are a perfect example. There was no rule against them until they became problematic. Now there is a rule against them and no one has successfully argued a legitimate reason why they should be allowed. Same situation. Problem identified. Rule enacted. Lots of noise about not liking it, nothing constructive about how keeping it can be more beneficial than outlawing it.
No one has asked you to justify the value of everything and anything you post. Only to justify the value in this not being illegal.
