I've stopped my Evan due to the lack of skills. I don't have Flame Wheel nor Magic Mastery.
I'd suggest getting whatever is available at the time (Magic Mastery or Flame Wheel) and going to Gallos if the former and Skeles if the latter.
Either way, training an Evan is still pretty wicked fast.
