It is indeed troubling to see that you lost a ground/water type to a fire gym... thats like losing a gengar to an eevee with nothing but normal-moves.

i had that dilemma too, and i just went with the "if you fail to catch it, move along" route and didnt go back. what sucks is the area 103, or route, w/e, where you first fight your rival in R/S/E, i ran into a wingull, and have yet to do so since.
also, the area where you take wally to catch his ralts, first thing i see there was the wurmple that became my dustox, and lo and behold the second thing i see there is ralts. life's not fair i tell ya.
Caught an abra outside of the dark tunnel area right outside of rustboro. im happy and all, but, what the hell do i do with it? its only got teleport. -_-
gonna try to level up my dustox and poochyena to take on roxanne.
