The third image of the number 1 winner is phenomenal, beautiful vivd colors, extremely detailed scenery, high amounts of visual projected general detail from the cress in the clothing to the emotional eyes shows nothing less then a piece of art that rivals a professional, not to mention the "paint" like coloring which IMO is a welcomed effect since it tends to be underused in art by "amateurs".
Don't get me wrong the one in the link well done, but it's using a rather simplistic cartoonish/low budget anime style that can be seen in several of these submissions, making it far from the achievement of "blowing the other ones out of the water"
Either way you look at it, Kynim's art is way better than this or this. Don't get me wrong or anything, it's just that some of these are really... not that good.
Besides, this is all opinionated and that's done.
