Smart strategy with Safeguard, and since zombies tend to be stupid Encore can work wonders. I wonder what Magic Guard would do(although there isn't a Zombie Virus version of Will-O-Wisp and Toxic). You probably do know that super effective hits(keep Tyranitar away from fighting type moves) and powerfull attacks(OHKO attacks, Explosion, etc.) and maybe critical hits of a Zombie Pokémon can infect most Pokémon(and I'm not sure if having Pokémon with a certain temperature inside their bodies being immune is such a good idea). Draining a Pokémon with Liquid Ooze should also infect.
Any additional stats/attacks for Zombie Pokémon (besides being able to infect others)? I think since it's messed up Pokérus they should grow faster, but not learn extra moves, unless a Pokémon has a really crappy movepool. Just like normal Pokérus, but with better growth, doesn't spread as fast and has a negative effect on strategies of wild Pokémon/Trainers, unless they're supposed to be really smart, then they become an evil genius zombie.
