Why not just let them all live in harmony together. I just remembered a concoction of mine I made for a family reunion a few years back. It still has a few issues that could be taken care of, but the response was good. I called it my brownie-cake-pie-muffins. Basically, I took pre-made brownie dough and lined the edge of muffin tins (like the crust of a pie), then placed a dollop of cake batter in the center with a nice shot of liquor of choice mixed in (cream de menthe was most popular) and cook at the brownies recipe until it looked about right. Main issues I had with it was that the pre-made dough was designed to be non-stick so it made the outside of the whole thing rather greasy and that I end up wasting a whole lot of cake batter in the process, which I suppose is fine if you have other uses for it.
Let these battles end. Harmony of the desert is a possible dream.
