HurrycaneX Wrote:I've tried it for a bit, but it's kind of hard to learn all the controls. That and my laptops keyboard is crappy so I can't even make a combo half the time. Where is the tutorial in this thing?
Yeah, I'm finding the learning curve difficult, as well as doing some attacks.

Basically, it's the same as things like Street Fighter. Double tap forward to dash; back to back step. Hold back to block. "E" engages over limit (bar at bottom). Attacks are in the command lists. There's a list of characters on the left side under キャラクター for ACS. It lists each of the skills, how to perform, Aerial Enabled or not, damage, and at the bottom for most characters I believe, there's combo lists you can do.
I've played Asbel, Kohak, Presea, and Suzu so far.
Asbel is probably the easiest to play. Burst Style is almost completely useless to me, and Artes Style I believe does less damage compared to other characters. He doesn't require any "combinations" to do attacks, just hold a direction and press A to use his Artes. You can draw his sword but it's ridiculously slow.
Kohak <3 EG simulating system is well done and definitely reflects the original well. I can't seem to find many situations to place spells in at all since they take so long to cast, though Blazing Hearts seems instantaneous, at the cost of TP.
Presea is slow. She doesn't use CC, and alternatively has a similar system as she did in Symphonia, where you have to use Tokugi (特技
-> Higi (秘技
-> Ougi (奥義
(Lv1 -> Lv2 -> Lv3 in NA version)http://www36.atwiki.jp/2dtales/pages/28.html
JP guide to her skills, and the orders they can be used. She's a bit too slow for me and I didn't like her move sets all too much to play for now. Maybe with a bit more practice.
Suzu has pretty awesome speed and such, though it took me a while to get used to it. For the love of me, I can't seem to do QCF/B + B; it always ends up doing Down + B =(
I wish there was more variety to what you can fight. This was designed to be more 2-Player VS oriented, I suppose, but still. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong. Asbel's story mode is just ridiculously difficult compared to the other three I've played.
P.S. Omega Demon Chaos (猛虎連撃破
is ↓・↓・C and Quasi Seal (風塵封縛殺
is C after using Omega Seal (風刃縛封
[↓・→・↓・→・C]. All of which require TP, presumably a lot since Quasi Seal is a hi-ougi.
