EDIT: Everything I said was phrased with more concise eloquence in the first post, as reproduced by Swerve below. While it's understandable that people want to comment before reading walls of text, in this case my comment was summed up so well by a few lines that it's best to read those instead.

And for the record, Swerve, I fully support further R&D in using algae as a potential biofuel rather than traditional crops, but your paper is more informative rather than persuasive, so I don't know exactly where you stand on the issue.
