What team of Pokemon would you have in the event of a zombie outbreak? Here are some rules to keep it interesting:

For my team I'd probably have something like:
Gengar to go through walls and pomegranate and tell me if the next room is safe. In other words, it'd be a scout. It's also fast as a motherfucker, and can levitate, so it can probably handle itself if worse comes to worse. Nice for projectile support as well.
Gardevoir for support. It'll be making wishes, putting up barriers, and it also has a strong will to protect its master. Also, I could use something warm to cuddle with at night to make me feel safe. Any companion that isn't needed for night lookout would be find, but Gard most likely has the most comforting feel on the team. I can't sleep in real life unless I'm holding something, there's no guarantee I'll have a spare item to hold at night with me. Teleportation would be nice as well.
[B]Absol[/B], this nigga can sense disaster miles away, and has some super fucking luck. I'll probably keep it as lookout to sense when pomegranate is about to go down. Can probably be nice for close combat, in case the zombies close in too much.
Electivire will power stuff up, light dark areas, and play a big offensive role in my team. Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Earthquake, maybe Fire Punch or something for close combat if it's in a tough situation. Perhaps Rock Smash would be good too, just in case we get stuck in a dead end somewhere.
Dugtrio is a fast motherfucker that'll be popping in and out the ground faster than the zombies can even keep up with. Arena trap helps for keeping the pineappleers in place while Electivire blasts them. It could be good for surprise attacks. Like Gengar, I'm pretty sure it could hold its own in trouble. It's too fast.
Charizard for travel and a sweeping air strike if needed. It'll survey the skies for anything suspicious. It's fast, good for travel, and can attack from afar.
I may want to replace someone on my team for Linoone or something. I probably need a good nose to sniff out food and water, but it's so frail. I guess I could use it after Gengar, Charizard, and Absol confirm that the area is pretty safe so it avoids getting raped. Maybe it'd replace Dugtrio. Not to mention it could also be soft enough to cuddle with as well. Hmmm...
- No Legendaries. Picking Celebi and going back in time ruins this.
- Steel, Rock, Ghost and Poison types CAN be infected. Steel and Rock are harder to infect because of their tough bodies, but they can be infected if the zombies manage to scratch/bite them up enough to wear them down. Or get their eyes, that's a pretty vulnerable spot. Ghost Pokemon can still be infected, though some of them can become intangible. Let's just say that zombie Pokemon with move like Night Slash or something would be able to infect them. Same for Steel Pokemon and Fire Fang.
- Pokemon with special characteristics that would make them immune to the virus may be acceptable. For example, Macargo's internals are hotter than the sun. The virus would die in its body, so it's pretty safe from infection. The rock typing alone doesn't save it, it's only saved because of its special characteristic.
- You're not the only survivor, there are survival camps and such. However, there aren't many survivors, and most of the time you'd have to be traveling on your own. The setting isn't a complete wasteland where you'd have to search for days on end without food; but you should preserve your rations as best you can. Just because you're not entirely out of food doesn't mean you can afford a full course meal 3 times a day. Also, there is no law, so not everyone you meet will be friendly. Wanna let your guard down because that nice old man offered you a place to stay at the night? Have fun getting everything you own robbed as you're asleep.
