I wouldn't level Neutral Chaser past 10 unless you plan to do a lot of PvPing (then it's a good idea to max, for sure). The extra move speed of 11+ isn't very helpful in dungeons. My Battle Mage is built for dungeons (like all of my girls) and she has 10 Neutral, max Light and max Fire. No Shadow or Water. Pretty standard. I think BMs are the easiest to plan since there's the least variation in their builds. Only have to make a few decisions and the rest is basically required/common sense. No one really does gimmick all Chaser or all physical builds.
xxx is the core of everything you'll be doing as a Battle Mage. x's lead you into everything, which is why it's great to have the Cancels for the skills you'll be using (Upper, Fang, Wheel and usually Blast). x/xx/xxx into Upper/Fang and then continuing/repeating it however you want is basic combo play. As for pure xxx'ing for Neutral Chasers, it's not that important. It's much better to focus on keeping your supply of Light and Fire chasers up since they are vastly better once you get to a high level.
