You don't need money to make money, if you're too lazy to kill area bosses and do quests for scrolls, then you'll just have to deal with having level 5 magic guard until you raise the money. Even any new level 35 player can kill enough area bosses, do quests, or cpq for gephart coins. Having a main character makes it even simpler with time piece hunting.
