Is it okay to hug a friend who is dating somebody else?

In most situations it's completely fine. The act of giving a hug is supposed to be one of comfort, not anything sexual. Now if it were, say, a guy who you knew was trying to hook up with your girl then I can see where there might be a problem. But if it's just a friend giving her a hug then I see no reason to be upset over it.
