Damn atheists!

I Lol'd at this. I could inquire the same: Do you believe everything some book tells you?

I'm a very open atheist with strong ideals, and I could argue my point of view with yours all day. We atheists have our argument based upon scientific evidence and empirical data, while Religion is traditional beliefs based upon the words of a book. My belief in God personally died with my infantile beliefs of the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, and the Easter Bunny, I simply cannot believe in something I cannot see, and in something that makes no sense based upon the basic laws of physics.

I'm not trying to bash religion at all, I tried it once, and I despised it. All that surrounded me was hypocrisy and disdain for the non-believer, a cult you might say. People were telling me to do things that they weren't even doing themselves, pathetic, why believe in something when it's own believers aren't devout. Now I'm not saying by any means every single religious person is in the wrong; go ahead and practice your religion, just don't bother me and I won't bother you.

I can't tell you if my beliefs are right or wrong, but neither can you; it's an argument that will continue until eternity. All I can say is, don't condemn someone for not believing in something that contains no evidence whatsoever.

Aggressors?

The aggressors were usually Catholic, a different brand of the faith.

The protestants escaped from Europe to America and created a system based on their beliefs there.

That's like saying North America loves war because Americans decide to go to war.
