I'm sure we have our tendency to either have guy pokemon or girl pokemon. Or maybe you like legendaries so it's ambiguous.
Me, I used to have teams of all guy Pokemon until I found out breeding more of the same Pokemon requires a female. Later on then, I usually have a female starter and females of the really hard to find pokemon, and could care less what is the gender of my pokemon as long as they seem strong. Now in Soul Silver though, my strongest Pokemon based on IV calculations ARE female, which makes me lol because I currently tote an all girl's team, exclusing my 2 HM slaves, which are incidentally guys.
