Bigfoot is NOT the new tengu. Tengu is an entirely different concept for the simple fact that he spawns in a non-essential map. You basically risk death in order to train at a great map, a SINGLE great map. Bigfoot is a pain in the ass broken monster that spawns in 8 maps per channel, 2 of these maps being direct paths to a whole area of weaker monsters. They are forcing you to risk experience just to go to a jump quest in which you can lose even more exp. And this isn't even for starters, they are gonna make leprechauns just as dangerous for everyone else who wishes to pass through. There is no other place in all of maplestory as twisted as this. Every logical area has the concept of stronger challenges being at the end of the road where only the elite should be. The whole idea is that if you can't survive passing through an area, then you don't belong there or anywhere past it. But they are making a 135 exp monster in the first map of the forest hit almost twice the damage of a 6100 exp monster who appears in the final map LOL. They basically took the conventional method of good areas and tossed it in a blender. This huge mess should not be confused with creativity or innovation. Sure, the storyline is so good and the general themes and stories are cool (I actually like bigfoot), but everything else is 100% not practical and there's no way to get around this fact. The forest, the mountains, the dungeons, the npcs, the monsters, the quests, all are great when you think of them as just seperate pieces and ideas, but nexon merged them all in an awful way.
