I think Trigun and Outlaw Star are the only two that I had considered because they seemed like the closest things to Bebop. I also tried getting in to Ghost in the Shell back when Adult Swim was airing it, but I was too young to understand it, and starting off in the middle of the series didn't really help. Is that any good?

I always read up on shows before I watch them. That what I use. You get reviews from multiple people for one anime most of the time there.

Crunchyroll has reviews too but less thorough.
