you need to set up/configure the wireless settings for the DS. you can do this before you play the game. there should be a wifi-settings option either on the ds home screen, or in the menu list when you press start at the static screen with the mascot pokemon on the bottom screen.

you will need either the WEP/WPA key if it is unsecured.
and Cyadd is right, the event goes on til may 5th. the jirachi course, nights sky edge, that pokemon distribution hasnt been moved to wifi-yet so far as i know, so just wait it out.

I know how, but my parents make my sytematically change the key and ID.. its such a pain to keep it updated. WAIT its still going on? wifi or location?
