Murder yes. But the people murdered were often evil tyrants.
I'll never understand why Atheists are so hostile towards Christians.
In fact many Atheists seem ONLY hostile towards Christians even when other religions are far far worse.
Look at Satanists. The average Atheist will never comment on any Satanist practices, yet take time out of their daily lives to write long paragraphs about how God is evil and how all Christians are deluded sadist fools.
I am not an Atheist you plum. I am a Deist. We have hostility towards Christians because they DOMINATE AMERICAN SOCIETY. America is a theocracy based upon everything Christianity condones, NOT SATANISM. The sheer number of Christians is why there is hostility towards them; the power that this religion has is woefully large, while the number/power of Satanists are minuscule.
