Since i know people will defend the new direction by mentioning the MTS...The whole MTS for NX thing is a compromise, not a blessing to the common free playing folk.
Free players can spend time by farming to make the MTS cash to buy what they need from CS. They win.
Cash spending players gain the advantage of being able to buy hax equips to save time from making their own. They win.
Nexon gives the cashing players reason to spend more on NX than they already do with CS alone with the MTS, They freaking win big. So the whole "free players should be thankful" is crap, they just add items to MTS that cash players want so NEXON can profit. They don't need any thanks.
That said: I agree with the posters who say that if this was just restricted to say: some OP attack skill totally unrelated to what the class would need to survive decently. But this is magic guard. As in, if every cash player stop spending money on MTS or got banned for something. The free community is left with an unplayable class past level 80 or so.
I can accept "Free to play yet Pay to Own". But when it's Free Yet Unplayable, that means Nexon's violated its main draw to the game by making certain content P2P. Which is even more unfair than Pay to Own in that regard. MTS doesn't make it free. MTS makes it Sponsored to Play. Thank the cash player who was lazy enough to buy your item (like me at times), not Nexon.
Regarding dual blade: if Dual Blade turns out to have a skill set that doesn't require cash that leaves it equal to Shadowers; as in, you could grind to 200 without feeling gimped due to lack of a mob skill or movement skill while the skills that make Shadowers obsolete needed Mastery books from CS. Then would i find this new direction fairly acceptable.
