I'd say around 80% of Maple makes the new job within' the first 1-5 days...It's smart and I applaud them for that, there customer service is the only thing I don't like, other then that there's nothing to complain about...It's a business, deal with it.
Quote:Because, as Stereo said, many people don't just have 20m lying around to convert to NX to get the skill. Besides, at this point the skill is glitched (or so I hear) so that after the mastery the book is in, you can't add any more points into it. And telling Nexon that you're doing it wrong, you'll make more money this way will still get the thread locked. They don't like pretty much any threads that says anything that contradicts what they're doing.
People should not have to pay 20m for a low level skill like this, especially since it's so important. mages are pretty much unplayable in the third job and up without magic gaurd.
I can understand KMS putting Dual Blade skill books in the cash shop. First off, you can get Dual Blader's skills from monsters outside of the CS. Second, they actually have some money issues, which is why the new characters all have seperate storages. Most CS equips in KMS are permanent, so if people can switch their equips from character to character they don't make any money. Dual Blades were made because KMS probably was having financial troubles.
Nexon America, on the other hand, had no reason to do this with Evans. Even KMS made it possible to get Dual Blade skill books outside of the cash shop. But Nexon America wasn't having any monetary issues. They've been making plenty of money. I'm not saying that it's wrong of them to try to make more, but it is wrong of them to go against one of the basic tennants of the game at its conception just to make more money.
Edit: I just read Hime's post in Nexon's forums. She said that there is no way to get the skill books outside of the cash shop, but there will be in the near future. And after she posted that, there are three or four responses thanking her for her honesty, but then saying they'll probably quit maple because of it. So hey, Nexon's newest idea is killing their fanbase.
Check what I bolded..I'm curious...So you think the people that can't afford the 2k NX could afford to drop 80-120m for the book if it dropped from say...level 40-50 Bosses? Or maybe even higher?
You think the ones that can't afford the 2k NX could sit there and hunt for hours and not get KS'ed by the Merchs, pros, higher levels?
I'm sure you didn't expect them to not have it as a NX item and then it drop from a stump? This isn't a Private Server now, you should obviously expect it drop from a boss at a very low rate just like the other Books right?
I mean if you think about it...Shouldn't 2k for Magic Guard Master Book be a good thing? Not only that you get a scroll with it!
Games advance and MapleStory is advancing, get over it...This isn't new every game does this.
Quote:Someone has been brainwashed well by Nexon. Nexon does a good job making you forget that NX is real money, but that is not the case. If a snail dropped 8 NX when you poked it, then NX would be a true in-game currency. Whether you like it or not, someone, somewhere just paid Nexon 2 bucks for a skill that should be free content--you, another mapler, a company paying for people to participate in surveys and such, or any other customer Nexon can think of. You'd be better off thinking of NX as a gift card to some department store.
Bolded Part, what gives you the right to make that decision in there game? So Nexon should only make things "easy" or "cheaper" because you and some fourm kids said so?
It doesn't work like that, it's their decision not yours, if you don't like it then quit.
