Naked Snake is the father of the 3 other Snakes. The one I showed just shows him in his prime when he was as old as his sons. It also so happens Solid Snake resembles his father most closely.

either of the latter two wouldnt have confused me, though id forgotten in MGS3 he was considered "Naked Snake" due to going in without any backup or weapons.
