Btw, I actually didn't have a problem with Clair. I sort of beat her in one try: Clair sent out Gyarados. Go Ampharos! Ampharos used Discharge. Gyarados fainted. Clair is about to send out Dragonair, will you switch Pokemon? Go Feraligatr. Feraligatr used Ice Fang. Dragonair fainted. Repeat for next Dragonair. Clair is about to send out Kingdra, will you switch Pokemon? Go Ampharos. Ampharos used Charge. Kingdra used Hyper Beam. Ampharos has 35 HP left. Ampharos used Discharge. Kingdra fainted.

You only lose a set amount of money if you lose. As long as you win one battle against a trainer, you'll break even. Lance takes 10k at most and each of the elite 4 GIVES 12k
