About that IV breeding: I once spend 2 weeks of breeding (didn't play every day though) but I got a Pokémon with 3 pefect IVs (which is actually on my team right now, but it's EVs and moveset are somewhat outdated).
The Pokémon on my team have the following birthdays:
-Nov. 3, 2007
-Jan. 15, 2008
-Jan. 27, 2008
-Feb. 6, 2008
-Mar. 1, 2008
-Jan. 17, 2009
So most of them are really old.
