IMO, the concept of EVs and IVs that make each pokemon unique is a good concept, but implemented badly.
I mean, if we want to make our pokemon the strongest (talking about EVs for now) We have to spend tens of hours fighting just 6 pokemon.. I mean, how does a pokemon that spend forever fighting bidoofs and (insert other EV trainingpokes here) end up better than a pokemon that you played through the game with, fought pokemon higher than its level, and raised by playing the game the way its meant to be played. IMHO, instead of monsters giving EVs we should have maybe workout rooms in our secret base, or minigames that give EVs. Minigames + pokemon sprite interaction while you have fun >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> battling 252 bidoofs
Ivs arent that great. Sure they make the pogeys unique, its not like EVs where sometimes you want HP, and sometimes you want SPATK, you always want all 31's (aside from hidden power) Plus it takes FOOOORRREEEVVEEERR to breed perfect IVs. And its not even fun nor does it require skill. Just lots of time, and a lot of luck.
