For me, if i read something, I know it. I dont need any further reenforcement. The only reason I do homework is for the grade.
When you have a kid that knows the material, and is assigned busywork homework, but the kid has a busy day. If he knows the material, is copying something that he could do easily under different circumstances wrong?

I understand where your argument is coming from. However though, this is something that I find intruging....

Now since you claim that you know the material, but refuse to use your powerful knowledge to work, isn't this one (easy) lost opportunity to definately show that you really know your material? I request an answer for this.
I'm going to throw another argument in the ring: By simply copying homework, you are also promoting a bad work habit on yourself Like Mira said, it does reflect, one way or another. Unless your teacher assigns some retarded homework assignments (which some do, which I understand fully). However, no excuses; even if you just copying homework and get away with it, the work habit will stay, and it will bite you in the future
Furthermore, by nurturing the habit (copying homework) throughout high school, it will bite as once you start college/university, your work is going to be more scrutinized. And isn't copying homework = plagrism = zero-tolerance/out the door (especially in the college/university level)? Now tell me: does that benefit you in the long run? I want more than just a straightforward, "no-shi't sherlock" answer.
