Tbh, as long as you don't look like the typical anime-tard that sits on their ass 24/7 watching anime, I don't think most people would care.. I watch anime in class, and there are these 18-22 year old people behind and across from me. They don't watch anime, but they started to when I turned it on and watched it during class when the professor is too goddamn boring. They're more intrigued, if anything. If you snort like a pig, and start talking in Japanese when you're not, maybe they'd freak out a bit.
