Is Copying Homework Cheating?

My Whap teacher(ap world history) recommends us to copy. She says you are a no life if you do it all yourself. Honestly I copy homework all the time but only in 2 classes still its bad. I don't think its right to do it even though I do it but hey if you can get As without doing homework then good for you.
