Here's the thing, and by no means am I saying the chaos scroll bannings are all innocent, but Nexon releases some form of glitch/hack/abusable event nearly every time they patch this game. And they have no consistant method of dealing with the results.
Chaos scrolls = bans
Big Foot exploit = warning > ban
Boss Token / Witch Belt = head in the sand
Horntail Pendant = revert
8x exp w/ family reps = head in the sand
How many people do you think went and said, well I better buy some chaos scrolls now before they patch it and then im sol like the witchbelt scenario.
You never know how nexon's going to respond in any given situation, and many times you end up losing out because nexon gives people a slap on the wrist when you try to play by their rules and the rest of the community ignores it.
Perhaps if they were to standardize their responses it would lessen some confusion, and a zero tolerance on glitch abuse would keep much of this from ever happening. But because they allow some to slide you end up with situations like this where pretty much everyone's unhappy to some extent.
